Richard E. Anderson, MD, FACP

Richard E. Anderson, MD, FACP, is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Doctors Company and TDC Group. He is also a Director of The Doctors Company Foundation. Dr. Anderson was a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego, and is Past Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Scripps Memorial Hospital, where he served as Senior Oncologist for 18 years.

Dr. Anderson is the editor of a book, Medical Malpractice: A Physician’s Sourcebook, and the author of a number of peer-reviewed publications on medical malpractice, the Harvard Medical Practice Study, and the impact of defensive medicine.

He has been invited to address numerous medical and legal forums, including the American Medical Association, the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Physicians, the American Academy of Neurological Surgeons, the College of American Pathologists, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons®, a number of medical school faculties, including the medical centers of Stanford, UCLA, UCSD, Case Western, and the Cleveland Clinic, and the law schools of Columbia, Stanford, and Northwestern.

Industry presentations include the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), the former Physician Insurers Association of America (PIAA), which is now MPL Association, the Professional Liability Underwriters Society (PLUS), Lloyd’s of London, Crittenden, the American Association of Health Plans, and the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC).

Dr. Anderson currently serves on the Board of Advisors of the RAND Institute for Civil Justice and several committees within the MPL Association. He serves as an honorary faculty member for the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI). He also serves as a member of the Board for the Napa Valley Community Foundation and as a member of the Board of Directors for the OLE Health Foundation.

Dr. Anderson is the former Chair of the MPL Association and served on its Board for 10 years. He is a recipient of the Peter Sweetland Award of Excellence for his contributions to the MPL Association, the insurance community, and the healthcare professions.

He is also the first recipient of the PLUS Foundation’s Award for Outstanding Leadership in Healthcare Professional Liability.

After graduating from Stanford Medical School, Dr. Anderson completed his internship and residency at Harvard Medical School’s Beth Israel Hospital, followed by his postdoctoral fellowship in medical oncology at Stanford. He received his bachelor of arts degree magna cum laude from Yale College.

 

Robert E. White, Jr.

Robert E. White, Jr., is President of TDC Group. In his current role, Mr. White oversees the operations of the three business units that make up TDC Group: The Doctors Company, Healthcare Risk Advisors, and TDC Specialty Underwriters. He assists in the growth of TDC Group and expands its mission-based platform for service to healthcare in whatever practice model members choose.

Mr. White has more than 50 years of experience in the insurance industry. He managed the claims and loss prevention departments of several commercial and doctor-owned insurance companies before coming to The Doctors Company in an administrative capacity more than 20 years ago. Additionally, he served as President of the insurance operations of FPIC Insurance Group from 2002 to 2011.

He graduated magna cum laude from San Francisco State University. Mr. White is Chairman of the Board of the Florida Justice Reform Institute, a member of the Florida Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, board member of the Florida Insurance Council, and Chair of the Board of Governors of the Florida Medical Malpractice Joint Underwriting Association. Mr. White is also a former board member of the Medical Professional Liability Association, and currently serves on three of its committees.

Mr. White received the 2026 Award of Excellence in Honor of Peter Sweetland from the Medical Professional Liability Association. The award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service, leadership, and long-standing commitment to the MPL community.

 

Deepika Srivastava

Deepika Srivastava is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of The Doctors Company. Prior to her role as COO, Ms. Srivastava was Executive Vice President of MPL and TDC Group Shared Services, where she had the responsibility of running the operations of the medical professional liability (MPL) line of business. Ms. Srivastava also led the shared services of Technology, Cybersecurity, Innovation, and Enterprise Project Office for all TDC Group business units. She began her career at The Doctors Company as a Business Systems Analyst with AP Capital and progressed into leading information technology (IT) as the Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer.

Ms. Srivastava is a seasoned executive with nearly 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. At The Doctors Company, she has earned a reputation for driving operational excellence and aligning business strategy with modern solutions. Her leadership in transforming the company’s operations and enhancing efficiency has positioned it for sustainable growth. Known for her strategic vision and focus on continuous improvement, Ms. Srivastava has envisioned a digitally agile business and championed the transformation and modernization of the business technology portfolio.

Previously, Ms. Srivastava spearheaded The Doctors Company’s award-winning technology framework for post–mergers and acquisitions technology consolidation. This framework created business efficiencies and economies of scale, eliminated cybersecurity risks, reduced expenses, and increased management insight through consolidated reporting. The framework was awarded the Novarica Impact Award for IT Practice.

Ms. Srivastava holds a master of business administration (MBA) degree and a bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Lucknow, India. She completed the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program from Stanford University and the Advanced Management Program at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). In 2024, she was named a Business Insurance Women to Watch honoree. Ms. Srivastava is passionate about mentoring emerging women leaders and serves on the advisory board of Michigan State University’s Actuarial Science Program. She serves on the California Insurance Guarantee Association (CIGA) Board of Governors.

 

Laura Kline, MBA, CPCU, CIC

Laura Kline, MBA, CPCU, CIC, is Regional Operating Officer of Region II for The Doctors Company, and Senior Vice President of Business Development for TDC Group. In her role, Ms. Kline drives operational excellence across the 26 states of Region II and leads teams including Business Development, Underwriting, Claims, and Patient Safety and Risk Management in enhancing member experiences. Ms. Kline leads business development, sales, distribution, agency management, and affinity programs for TDC Group.

She joined the company in 2011 following the acquisition of American Physicians Assurance. Prior to her current assignment, Ms. Kline served as Vice President of Marketing and President of that company’s alternative risk transfer subsidiary. She has considerable expertise in the areas of healthcare and medical malpractice insurance. Ms. Kline holds a master of business administration (MBA) degree from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Michigan, and has completed the Executive Scholars Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management with an emphasis in sales and marketing. Ms. Kline has earned the professional designations of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).

 

Kendra Heredia

Kendra Heredia is Vice President of Business Development for The Doctors Company. She has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and business development, including over 15 years in the medical professional liability industry.

Since joining The Doctors Company, she has held key roles in Business Development, most recently serving as Assistant Vice President, overseeing national healthcare brokerages and a $198 million portfolio to drive strategic growth initiatives and optimize broker mergers and acquisitions (M&A). In her current role, Ms. Heredia manages National Business Development and Agency Support, and oversees Events Management.

Ms. Heredia has consistently delivered measurable results, exceeding revenue targets and strengthening distribution partnerships. She is recognized for her collaboration, strong national broker relationships, and creating exceptional member and broker experiences. She has elevated conferences and endorsed programs to drive engagement and improve outcomes.

Ms. Heredia earned a bachelor’s degree in communications (radio, television, and film) and marketing from Stephen F. Austin State University.

 

Todd Zeiter

Todd Zeiter is Chief Underwriting Officer for The Doctors Company. He provides underwriting leadership, strengthens alignment between underwriting and reinsurance strategy, and supports disciplined growth consistent with The Doctors Company’s risk appetite and strategic objectives. Over nearly three decades of progressive leadership, Mr. Zeiter has held a wide range of underwriting, insurance operations, and business leadership roles, including leadership positions in Special Risk, National Programs, Insurance Operations, Business Development, Integrated Delivery Systems, and National Underwriting. He has been instrumental in advancing underwriting discipline, supporting reinsurance strategy, and overseeing complex risk structures. Previously, he held management positions at NORCAL Mutual.

His experience encompasses underwriting of medical and hospital professional liability risks, underwriting and management of assumed reinsurance, management and placement of ceded reinsurance, creation and management of alternative risk vehicles such as risk retention groups and captive insurance companies, loss portfolio transfers and novations, underwriting of non-healthcare–related alternative risks, fronting, ratemaking, acquired company integration, and experience working in Business Development managing direct sales and national program relationships.

Mr. Zeiter earned his bachelor of science degree from the University of California, Davis, majoring in managerial economics with a minor in statistics.

 

Christian Groux, RPLU

Christian Groux is Interim Senior Vice President and Regional Operating Officer, Region III, and Vice President, Business Development, for The Doctors Company. Mr. Groux oversees the operational performance of Region III, where he strengthens cross-functional alignment, supports key strategic initiatives, and ensures consistent execution of both regional and enterprise objectives. Bringing more than 30 years of experience in the medical professional liability industry, Mr. Groux leads with deep expertise in underwriting, business development, and distribution. As Vice President of Business Development for Region III, he has built strong agency partnerships, supported disciplined growth, and collaborated closely with the underwriting, claims, risk management, actuarial, and operations teams. Previously, he worked for industry-leading companies such as MLMIC and First Professionals Insurance Company (FPIC).

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Hunter College in New York City and attained his designation as a Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) through the Professional Liability Underwriting Society.

 

Jeff McDonald, ARM, CPCU

Jeff McDonald, ARM, CPCU, is the Executive Vice President of Underwriting Integrity for TDC Specialty Underwriters. He began his insurance career of over 30 years in 1992 at Premier Alliance Insurance Company underwriting medical malpractice insurance. He moved to CNA early in his career where he focused on underwriting physician groups and hospitals. In 1999, Mr. McDonald joined Hudson and was involved in underwriting allied healthcare programs, miscellaneous medical facilities, physician groups, and hospitals. While at Hudson, he was given the opportunity to expand his career to Underwriting management, and oversaw their Chicago office for nearly 15 years. Mr. McDonald then moved on to Axis where he was responsible for establishing the medical professional liability insurance division for their healthcare clients, and was also responsible for managing its distribution channels, growth, and profitability. In 2018, he joined TDC Specialty Underwriters as Senior Vice President and oversaw several of its Underwriting segments. In 2024, Mr. McDonald was promoted to Executive Vice President of Underwriting Integrity with expanded Underwriting responsibilities across various segments.

Mr. McDonald has a bachelor’s degree in business management from Illinois State University. He has also been a licensed insurance producer for his entire career and holds his Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designations.

 

Richard Soulsby, FCAS, MAAA

Richard Soulsby, FCAS, MAAA, is Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary of TDC Group. In his role, he is responsible for all aspects of actuarial work within the company, including pricing, reserving, and corporate studies. Prior to joining The Doctors Company in 2014, Mr. Soulsby spent most of his career as a Consulting Actuary at Milliman, Inc., based in their New York office, where his work involved pricing (insurance and reinsurance), reserving, due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, product development, and regulatory financial exams, with clients ranging in size from small captives to the world’s largest insurance groups. Before going into consulting, Mr. Soulsby started his career as a property and casualty actuary at Transatlantic Reinsurance Company.

 

Peter Strada, ACAS, MAAA

Pete Strada is the Vice President and Lead Pricing Actuary for TDC Specialty Underwriters (TDCSU), a strategic business unit of The Doctors Company. He came from OneBeacon Insurance, where he held various roles supporting pricing and reserving functions in E&S healthcare professional liability alongside other specialty markets, including financial services, management liability, and tech E&O. Beyond his work in traditional actuarial analytics, Mr. Strada has played a significant role in shaping the strategic direction of core TDCSU business systems and data architecture, helping develop the tools and infrastructure that allow business partners to effectively leverage data in decision making.

Mr. Strada earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from John Carroll University, with concentrations in economics and statistics. He is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

 

Brittnie Hayes, JD

Brittnie E. Hayes, JD, is Interim Senior Vice President of Claims at The Doctors Company, where she leads the national claims organization and oversees the integration of ProAssurance, ensuring continuity and strength for members, brokers, and business partners. She is responsible for advancing a next-generation claims model that combines litigation expertise, data-driven insight, and operational excellence to strengthen defense outcomes in an increasingly complex legal environment.

Ms. Hayes drives claims strategy with a focus on reserve governance, litigation execution, and the application of analytics and emerging technologies. She is leading efforts to modernize claims through the use of artificial intelligence and data intelligence enabling more effective case strategy and strengthening defense counsel capabilities.

Since joining The Doctors Company, Ms. Hayes has held both national and regional leadership roles, most recently serving as Vice President of Claims for the Northeast Region. In that role, she led regional claims operations while partnering with Underwriting and Business Development to assess jurisdictional risk and develop actionable, data-driven insights. She is widely recognized for fostering cross-functional collaboration and for her focus on translating complex litigation dynamics into clear, strategic action.

A licensed attorney in multiple states, Ms. Hayes brings trial-tested judgment to healthcare liability matters. She has built a career at the intersection of legal strategy, claims leadership, and malpractice defense, with a strong understanding of how today’s litigation environment, social perception, and operational discipline shape outcomes.

Her background includes leadership roles at COPIC Insurance Company and earlier experience as a defense attorney specializing in medical professional and hospital malpractice cases. She holds degrees from Nebraska Wesleyan University and Creighton University School of Law.
